If you talk to broadcasters today, you’ll find that nearly everyone agrees that virtualization is the future. However, opinions may vary on the best way to implement it. To assist with this, Telos Alliance has just launched a new platform that might be the easiest way to deploy virtual solutions.
Introducing AP-3000
So, what exactly is an AP-3000? It’s a 1-RU AoIP hardware platform designed to fit seamlessly into your rack, hosting pre-installed, container-delivered Telos Alliance products. The AP-3000 is ideal for broadcasters who want the advantages of our software-based products—such as cost-effectiveness and user-friendly remote interfaces—but lack the time to research, procure, and configure their own hosting server. We’ve taken care of all the setup so you can focus on more pressing tasks, like re-installing Windows 7 on the sales manager’s laptop.
What Products Run On AP-3000?
1. Axia Altus® Virtual Mixing Console
Axia Altus brings the capabilities of a traditional console to desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones using any modern web browser. Altus offers comprehensive mixing features, including eight virtual auxiliary mixers and integration with Telos VX broadcast phone systems, making it perfect for distributed and remote workforces. This allows for seamless collaboration on both recorded programs and live broadcasts. Additionally, Altus is ideal for scenarios requiring quick deployment, such as temporary studios, low-cost disaster recovery centers, on-demand remote broadcasts, or facilities where space constraints prevent the use of a physical mixing console.
2. Omnia Forza® Audio Processing Software
Today’s radio encompasses more than just over-the-air programming—it includes Online and streaming audio channels that all require sonic enhancement. Purchasing multiple hardware processors can be cost-prohibitive, but Omnia Forza is designed specifically for these applications, making it the ideal virtualized solution. Its five-band architecture, featuring all-new AGCs and multiband limiters, delivers the consistent, polished sound that Omnia is renowned for. Additionally, the Sensus® codec conditioning and the new LUFS target-driven ITU-R BS.1770 loudness controller ensure compliance with streaming platform requirements, completing the package.
3. 25-Seven® PDMX Virtual Program Delay Manager
Nobody wants unwanted content on their airwaves. That’s why broadcasters have trusted 25-Seven® PDM products for years to seamlessly remove objectionable content from live programming. With PDMX Program Delay Software, this essential functionality transitions into the virtual realm, placing the “DUMP” button directly in the hands of producers, hosts, and talent working remotely. PDMX operates on any HTML-5 browser, allowing for use on laptops, studio PCs, tablets, or even smartphones.
4. Telos VXs Virtual VoIP System
