Our Office
Since 1990

After 34 Years,
we're experts in knowing what needs to be done.

Broadcast Technical Services Limited, established in 1990, has consistently been the preferred choice for new entrants in the Irish Radio Market.

Among our notable projects, we successfully delivered the Quasi National Network for Newstalk 106-108 and regional FM Networks for Spin Southwest and the Multi-City FM Network for Classic Hits FM.

Our expertise extends beyond FM Transmission Networks; we have also played a pivotal role in designing studios, supplying cutting-edge equipment, and executing installations for several local and regional radio stations.

In 2011, BTS secured a significant contract from KAIROS Communications to supply and operate two satellite vehicles, complete with skilled engineers. These vehicles facilitated the weekly Live broadcast of Sunday religious services for RTE Radio One. Since then, our satellite fleet has crisscrossed the entire Island of Ireland, ensuring seamless live Mass and COI Services until the RTE cutbacks discontinued the local live services on Sundays. Our engineers meticulously mic up each church location, expertly mix down the audio, and transmit it via satellite to our earth station based in Dublin. From there, it is seamlessly delivered via a licensed ComReg IP link to the RTE Radio Centre.

In 2014, BTS emerged victorious in a competitive tender against several UK companies. We secured the contract for the comprehensive design, construction, supply, and installation of Channel 103 studios in Jersey, located in the Channel Islands. Our studio design cantered around an all-digital setup, featuring Axia Desks with LiveWire connectivity. The result? High-impact studios adorned with captivating LED ambiance illumination.

Our commitment to excellence extended to supplying Wireless Group, Bauer Group, and numerous local radio stations with Axia Digital Studio Desks, elevating their studio environments.

Most recently, we undertook an ambitious FM transmission installation and commissioning project for Ocean FM. Working closely with 2RN and all stakeholders, we ensured that the new FM transmission equipment and digital links were seamlessly integrated, meeting Ocean FM's highest standards of satisfaction.
